By Now you may have gotten a letter from the Jesuit Provincial announcing the departure of the Jesuits from Immaculate Conception Church beginning this December, 2020.  I will remain until June 30, 2021.  Please see the following video for a message concerning our departure.

My prayers are with you all.

Fr. Warren J Broussard, S.J.

Beginning with the vigil mass at 4 PM on Saturday, May 16, we will resume our liturgical celebrations.  We will have a limited attendance of only 70 persons, the law requires that occupancy be set at 10% of capacity.  Only one door will be unlocked for entrance that being the Northeast door on the school parking lot side of the church building.  Once our 70 attendees has been reached, others will not be admitted. So come early!

Although the Sunday obligation to attend weekly continues to be dispensed, with the reduced numbers for attendance we ask that people self limit to one liturgy per week to allow for more folks to receive the Eucharist weekly. We remind people to stay home if they are concerned for their health. The restrooms will not be available, so prepare accordingly. Our liturgies should last between 30 and 40 minutes.

We will resume with our regular weekend mass schedule this weekend; 4 PM Vigil; 7:30 AM, 9:00 AM, 10:45 AM, 12:30 PM, and 5:00 PM.  All attendees will be required to wear face mask for the entire liturgy, removing them only to receive communion.  Holy communion will only be given in the hand. Our weekday schedule will be as follows: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 12:10 PM and Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday at 7 AM

We will post the  full details of instructions for attending and celebrating the liturgy on our website and have copies available for your reading in the back of the church.

All of these precautions are for the health and safety of all our parishioners.  We thank you for your understanding and cooperation.  We know that this can be a challenge to our understanding of our faith, but God calls us to be respectful of our neighbor and for the common good of all men and women.  Thanks and I look forward to seeing all of you in the coming days.

Fr. Warren Broussard, S. J.
